One of several made in 2007 ..painted using Acrylic on canvas board, framed in gold frame.

Fruit is brightly coloured subject matter and often made as 'still life' subject matter in Art - however many have represented it lacking in colour and form,​ and often it can therefore appear flat in appearance with little volume too.
Colours of [particularly Citrus fruits] or apple are bright and glistening and give the image a reality by representing that colour and shape or form in the painted image.
Smooth layers of paint, and highlights, with a mild varnish further enhance the composition, and make it seem real enough to pick or eat. .
