King Charle's Spaniel - named after a previous King of that name; is eternally popular. The big sparkling eyes, and long tuft like ears make them always popular to the present time too.
This picture is in watercolour on paper, and set against a neutral isolated background, to focus the attention only on the subject of the image [the dog].
Pencil marks are allowed to show through on the image, which is part of the characteristic of watercolour work done in a traditional way. Even now in this period of our new 'King Charles 3rd' these lovely endearing dogs are still very popular.
