Don't forget Cats too! It's all in the eyes..

There's no doubt both Dogs and Cats are eternally popular, to most people.

I have also painted cat portraits, and the subject is approached with as much care and attention as with my Dog images; and even more so it is in the 'eyes' of the animal that the character comes to life, with a little highlight added to make then glisten on the image. The aim should not be to make a merely photo like result, more a genuine artist portrait as much as would be done for any person.

This example is from a commissioned work and in watercolour, with some body colour, [white paint] to pick up details of fur.
